There are many areas in which The Striler Group can assist you prior to the beginning of your project. Before the designers and developers are needed, prior to the selection of contractors, we may be able to render time and money-saving services to the client in the following ways:
- Reviewing and commenting on planning objectives for the shell and offices.
- Providing counsel on issues including, but not limited to: construction feasibility, local labor conditions, materials shortages, long lead items and building industry standards.
- Identifying the contracting options available including the pluses and minuses of each (negotiated, GMP, lump sum bid, etc.).
- Developing a contract based upon the selected method and review with Client.
- Organizing an overall milestone schedule. This includes project completion, building shell completion, design durations, permitting, governmental approvals, Owner’s vendors and all critical items.
- Monitoring budgets by category (design, construction, equipment, relocation expenses, furniture, telephone systems, etc.).
- Identifying and pre-qualify architects that would best serve this project.
- Creating a detailed Request For Proposal that fully describes the duties and responsibilities of the design team (architect, civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection).
- Interviewing and receive proposals for design services.
- Summarizing and conduct a pre-award meeting with leading firm.
- Developing a custom Form of Agreement (in conjunction with Client’s attorney).
